For more than 25 years, the Karori community has worked tirelessly to bring the vision of a local event centre to life. Through the generosity, determination and hard work of local residents, more than $2.2 million was raised to help build a space for our community.
Now, after years of campaigning to protect its future, we're closer than ever to opening the doors.
Wellington City Council has committed funding to help complete the building, and we're working towards the next exciting stage - fitting out the centre so it can become a vibrant, welcoming space for everyone.
From chairs and technology to the essentials that will bring the building to life, there is still work to do. Together, we can turn this long held community vision into a reality!
Help us finish our centre and create a place where our community can connect, celebrate and thrive for generations to come.
